Hace cerca de 4 años compre una cámara Polaroid SX-70 model 2 por sólo $20 CAN en Vancouver, Un señor de edad avanzada que me comento tuvo la cámara en su Garage por mas de 15 años sin utilizar y que el había comprado en una tienda departamental y utilizado por varios años, el fue sincero y me dijo que la ultima vez que la utilizo servia, asi que decidi tomar el riesgo y comprarla ya que el precio era muy barato, ahora lo difícil era conseguir el cartucho ya que en esos años Polaroid dejo de producir cartuchos 600, que podían ser utilizados en la SX 70 pero yo ya habia escuchado que un grupo llamado The Impossible Project estaba trabajando para revivir estas casi magicas fotografías instantáneas, y hace algunos meses gracias a mi amiga Manon que me consiguió algunos cartuchos pude volver a probar esta camarita y aquí unos de los resultados.
About 4 years ago I bought a Polaroid SX-70 model 2 for only $20 CAN in Vancouver, an Old man told me that he had the camera sitting in his garage for more than 15 years without any use, and that he bought it at an a department store and used it for a few years, he was honest and told me the last time he use it it was still working, so I decided to take the risk and and bought it at that cheap price, so now the hard part was to get some film because Polaroid stop the production about those years of the 600 film that worked on the SX 70but I’ve heard a group called The Impossible Project it was working to make this film again of these magical instant photography, so a few months ago thanks to my friend Manon that she gave me few film packs so I could try this little camera again and here some results.
